I was contacted by a local Jackson blogger (Laurel – The Hive) to be a part of a photo shoot to promote #MiracleTreatDay at Dairy Queen. At the time, I didn’t know much about #MiracleTreatDay, but it sounded like a good opportunity to meet other local bloggers and help them promote a great cause. I immediately said yes!
When I arrived on location, Laurel explained what #MiracleTreatDay is all about, and I was thrilled to be there to help raise awareness for this great day and great cause!
What is Miracle Treat Day at Dairy Queen?
Miracle Treat Day was created from the partnership between DQ® and Children’s Miracle Network Hospitals®. It is a year-round commitment to bring healing and happiness to sick or injured kids in your local community.
This year, Miracle Treat Day is on July 25th. On that day, you can go to your local Dairy Queen (find a participating store near you here) and purchase a Blizzard Treat. For every Blizzard sold that day, $1 or more from each treat will be donated to the local CMN Hospital.
You will also be able to donate to the hospital by purchasing a Miracle Balloon at the register.
The great thing about this day is that all donations raised will stay in the community to help local kids. The CMN Hospital in Mississippi is Batson Children’s Hospital in Jackson, so your donation will directly help your friends and neighbors.
